Tutoring Experience and Qualifications
With over 30,000 hours of teaching experience in a wide range of subjects, Andrew has helped 1000s of students by means of weekly classes, courses and private tuition. He has created numerous programs of study, which have guided many students to examination success at A-Level, GCSE and entrance examinations from 11 Plus down to 7 Plus.
After studying Linguistics with Artificial Intelligence at Sussex University, Andrew obtained a Ba with honours in 2004. He has much experience teaching both adults and children in a range of subjects including: English, Maths, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Economics, Geography, History, Verbal & Non-verbal Reasoning, Spanish, Italian and French.
Having been a member of Mensa since the age of 12, Andrew regularly teaches private lessons in all the above subjects from Key Stage 2, up to GCSE and A-levels. His particular passion for literature drove him to develop the 11 Plus London English and VR programs, which form a core part of the tuition courses given at 11 Plus London, a company he co-founded in 2013.
Tutoring Vision
Andrew takes a holistic approach to learning, encouraging children to make connections and ‘join the dots’ between otherwise discreet bits of knowledge. His appreciation for language and literature enables him to make use of a wide range of examples and analogies, encouraging children to learn faster and maintain memories more effectively.
As the founder of Online Super Tutors, Andrew seeks to unite the very best tuition experts with people in need of their expert instruction. He also aims to provide extra support for parents, families and mature students as they navigate an increasingly complex academic world. By complimenting real-world activities and knowledge, he hopes to make every household educated in more ways than one. His ultimate aim is to restore balance post-pandemic and maintain strong, diverse means of academic communication, as digital channels of education gain prominence in schooling and at home.
